Larios Street has become a Christmas forest during these holidays, again with three daily musical shows to the rhythm of the songs 'All I want for Christmas is you', a Mariah Carey classic; 'Jingle bell rock', by Hilary Duff; 'En Navidad', by Javián, Alex, David Bustamante and the Academy of Operation Triunfo with Rosana; and 'Never Back Down' (Battlecry), from TSFH recorded by the Sofia Session orchestra éz choir. To these themes is added 'Malaga sings', the title of the carol composed for the Escolanía de Sierra Blanca-El Romeral that plays at the Christmas lights shows.
'The Christmas Forest' is a montage to visit both night and day. In addition, once again there are sessions of lights and music that make it even more distinctive and spectacular. The times of the passes are at 18.30, 20.00 and 21.30 hours, every day until January 5.
Larios Street will become for 40 days in a forest with arches full of suns, angels and autumn leaves. Many of the figures are made of methacrylate with the intention that the street remains decorated day and night. Specifically, all lighting will be based on 22 semicircular arches with 730,000 points of light.
Show Schedules
Larios Street
The passes are at 6.30 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., every day, from November 29 to January 5.
Malaga Alcazaba
A video mapping with lights, music and sound will be projected on the monument at 6:45 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

To the street Larios this Christmas is added as a novelty The Alcazaba. The historic monument is the scene of a novel 'video mapping' in which a Christmas story will be recreated through the projection of lights, music and sound. The projection lasts six minutes and is repeated three times a day coinciding with the musical passes of Larios Street (at 18.30, 20 and 21.30 hours).
The story tells the story of a girl who lives in the current moment and will highlight values such as solidarity, companionship, generosity or gratitude. The visual has been created specifically for Malaga by the company Firefly, which has already made projections in historical monuments such as the Cathedral of León or the walls of Ávila.
Another novelty of this Christmas is the presence of an enchanted tree in the Alameda Principal. The show that is projected in the ficus closest to Larios Street lasts about five minutes and has been prepared exclusively for the city by the company Fireflyevents. It will tell the story of a girl who tries to return her lost splendor to the tree (a giant). For the different passes, two 20,000 lumens projectors, 16 led bulbs, 50 retro Edison bulbs and a smoke machine will be used.
In addition to the musical passes of Larios, Alcazabilla and the Alameda Principal, this year a new Christmas market has been set up in the Plaza de la Marina that adds to the one already in the Paseo del Parque. In addition, the city has five large Christmas trees located in the Plaza de la Constitución, Molina Lario, Huelin Park, La Marina Square and Enrique Garcia Herrera Square (Camas).
68 streets of the Historic Center have been illuminated and the city is a pioneer in the use of sustainable energy, since energy consumption is 9,676 euros compared to 53,760 ten years ago.
