Malaga is the best place to travel

Malaga takes the surveys with the highest quality of life. In fact, it is among the ten European cities that highest scores - although if they took into account the entire province, it would surely be among the first five minimum! The reasons for this well-being are endless, but for practicality, we will condense them into a decalogue that will make you pack in 3, 2, 1 ...

1. IT IS VERY GOOD TIME. Ok, it's a topic, but also a truth like a temple. In Malaga we enjoy more than 300 sunny days a year, with an average temperature of 19º, and we even have to our credit the town with the best climate in Europe, Torrox. And look, it is not the same to wake up and see the sun shine behind the window than rainy dawn every day. Hence the next point ... 2. WE ARE VERY SIMPATIC. Really, everyone knows this. The Malaga will treat you as if he knew you from a lifetime from minute one, which will lead you to start lively conversations with the pharmacist, the clerk and the traffic guard. Everyone will try to lend you a hand whenever you can, and be sure that its opening and self-confidence will result in long party nights where you will end up knowing the name of the entire bar. 3. YOUR PRICES ARE AFFORDABLE. As long as you do not get into the golden mile of Marbella, your pocket should not fear. In fact, most likely, the price of food and alcohol will surprise you favorably, as well as the quality of gastronomy. 4. IT IS A LIVING CITY. And that is because we are always on the street, except when it rains (but it rains very little). Get ready for a movidito landscape and with neighbors always wanting to celebrate, from the fair to Easter, through the lighting of Christmas lights and even the mere fact that it is, I know, TUESDAY. Even if you keep in mind that ... 5. IT IS A PROVINCE OF THE MOST QUIET. Forget the stress of the big city, which you won't be able to feel even in the center of the capital. Malaga is made for enjoyment, with wide avenues or cozy narrow streets, palm trees and flowers, terraces, blue skies, white villages and sea views.

6. BUT HAS EVERYTHING YOU CAN ASK FOR A METROPOLIS. Cinemas (even alternative), museums (about thirty, including the famous Center for Contemporary Art, Pompidou, Picasso, La Térmica, the Russian Art Museum and the newly opened Museum of Fine Arts), concert halls with a schedule of more Granada, restaurants with all the flavors of the planet, galleries, high-flying urban art, shops of all kinds, an international airport with competitive prices, multiple means of transport and excellent roads, a very powerful artist's center always launching new ideas and other entrepreneurs, giving new life to every corner of the province.

7. HAS SEA, CLEAR, beaches that are the envy of Europe, a whole leisure system prepared to squeeze every last drop of the Mediterranean and fishing villages that you can not stop photographing ...

8. BUT ALSO HAS MOUNTAIN, and it is fascinating. Get lost in the Sierra de las Nieves, with its infinite forests of pinsapos, cool off in one of the many rivers in the region (small, yes, but many!), Visit the charming white villages or travel one of its many hiking trails ( How about Caminito del Rey?) Is a weekend plan in which we cannot insist enough.

9. IT IS A VERY TOLERANT PLACE. Malaga has been, since time immemorial, an important seaport, which has given rise to a population mixed and open to the new, the different and the foreign. Perhaps that is why Torremolinos became one of the first pillars of the gay movement, establishing itself as the European capital of homosexuality even during the dictatorship, and that is why there are so many foreign communities living in peace with each other forever.

10. IT'S PRETTY TO SAY ENOUGH. We are not illusive, we know that not everything in Malaga is beauty, but in general, how beautiful it is. Stroll in front of the Roman Theater, with the Alcazaba in the background; tour the Park Walk; discover absolutely adorable villages like Mijas, Frigiliana or Comares; to be ecstatic before the grandeur of Ronda; contemplate that orange light that bathes a sunset in front of the sea ... The list is endless, and is waiting for you to complete it with your own favorite corners.
